Many hundreds of constituents get in touch with me every month to tell me about an issue of importance to them, or to raise my awareness of a right that needs to be wronged or to ask me why I voted a particular way. Each and every one of these emails and letters are read by me, and many responded to by me or one of my team. Through this correspondence I learn about things I might otherwise not have been aware of or about the level of concern amongst the communities I serve.
