Miriam's police and crime survey

Help me support our local policing teams to make our streets, homes, schools and communities safer

I know just how important it is to make sure our homes, streets, schools and communities are safe from crime and antisocial behaviour. That's why it’s so reassuring to hear that our new government-funded Police Community Support Officers are making a real difference in our area.

Speaking to police officers and residents recently, I've been pleased to learn about some of the initiatives that are helping to tackle, deter and prevent crimes such as burglaries, vehicle and road crime, antisocial behaviour, and fraud.

In Stocksbridge and the Upper Don I’m working with the local force to help make roads safer for all users. I've been supporting the Barnsley West policing team in their work to understand and respond to local businesses. And I’ve spoken to the mobile police units operating across Ecclesfield, Chapeltown, High Green and Grenoside to see what they've been doing to support their communities.

And, I've really enjoyed meeting with policing teams in north Sheffield and west Barnsley to discuss a number of issues raised by residents across the constituency. But to really help me understand the priorities of constituents and what they think could help most I need your feedback.

Below you'll find a short survey about how together we can reduce crime in our area - it takes no more than a few minutes to complete.
